Brooklyn Permanent Teeth
Do you have missing teeth that need to be replaced? If so, there are several different options available to you. Patients can have teeth replaced using dentures, fixed or removable bridges, or dental implants. Depending on your individual situation our dentist may recommend one option over the other. Options to go with a single tooth replacement method can also depend on the patient’s personal preference. If you are looking for new
Brooklyn permanent teeth, you will want to visit us at Hanson Place Dental.
Many of our patients are choosing to replace their missing teeth with
Brooklyn permanent teeth in the form of dental implants. Dental implants look, feel, and function just like permanent teeth. For this reason they are a very popular tooth replacement method for patients who are seeking new permanent teeth. Dental implants also are great for patients because they help keep the patient’s jawbone healthy. This in turn will keep the patient’s facial contours looking fuller and more youthful. To get dental implants our patients will need to undergo dental surgery during which a titanium root implant will be inserted into the jawbone for each tooth that is to be replaced. Once the jawbone has thoroughly healed and the implant has fused to the jawbone, a new porcelain crown will be permanently attached to the root. At this point the dental implant is complete and the patient is able to enjoy all the benefits it has to offer. He or she will be able to eat anything they like in total comfort without worrying that the implant will move or be uncomfortable. And since implants look just like regular teeth, our patients once again get to enjoy their beautiful smiles.
Sometimes a patient will choose to get missing
Brooklyn permanent teeth replaced by fixed bridges. A bridge is secured to two teeth that have a missing tooth between them. The two end teeth have dental crowns placed over them and the center new crown “tooth” is permanently attached to these two crowns. In effect this dental treatment “bridges the gap” left by the missing tooth. The porcelain bridge is made to color match the adjacent teeth and is difficult to be detected as anything other than a permanent tooth. Dental bridges can also be made to be removable. These bridges need to be removed during the day for cleaning to help keep them fresh, clean and bacteria free.
