Brooklyn NY
At Hanson Place Dental, we perform pain free tooth extractions for patients on a regular and emergency basis at our
Brooklyn NY location. Tooth extractions can happen for many reasons. The mouth may be crowded, or teeth may need to be removed to make room for orthodontics. Or, a tooth has decayed completely or broken and needs to be removed. Sometimes damage or injury to the tooth can cause it to die.
If you are having tooth pain and it is severe, call our offices in Brooklyn NY immediately. A root canal, which can prevent the need for an extraction, may need to be performed. Or an extraction, which we can do using light anesthesia so there is zero pain involved. If you have suffered an injury to the tooth, call us right away. Consequences of injuries may mean permanent damage to the tooth later on. If you are suffering from a toothache, floss to remove any food or lodged debris and rinse the mouth with warm water. A cold compress applied to the cheek can also help. If you are suffering from a cavity, symptoms may include pain, swelling, redness and infection.
Chipped, cracked or broken teeth can also cause tooth pain. If you are in need of an extraction at our
Brooklyn NY offices, we will have you come in for appointment. We apply general anesthesia to the area, before extracting the tooth. After the extraction the swelling will go down within a few days. Bleeding may happen after. If you find any bleeding around the tooth or gum area, rinse the mouth and apply a cold compress to the cheek or outside of the mouth to reduce any swelling first. Call our offices if you experience any symptoms after the extraction that may hinder your healing progress.
